Rest of the Best...

Okay everyone, so I've seen on Facebook a demand for the rest of the best... So here they are. Best Documentary, Animated Films, Series of films, and Musicals!

So, here we go.

TOP DOCUMENTARY FILM
1. An Inconvenient Truth

TOP 3 ANIMATED FILMS
3. The Polar Express (2004)

Tom Hanks, Tom Hanks, Tom Hanks, and Tom Hanks star in this new Christmas classic and amazing animated classic.

2. Finding Nemo (2003)

"Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming". Ellen DeGeneres and the rest of the Nemo Cast come together for one of the best animated films of all time. A great storyline comes together for this heartfelt film!

1. Avatar (2009)

One of the most expensive films to make of all time, this revolutionized the way we think about animation. While it was one of the most expensive to make, it is also one of the highest grossing films of all time. After being out for less than a month, it is already the 2nd highest grossing films of all time (with over $1 Billion in revenue--and gaining on 1997's Titanic).

TOP 5 SERIES of the 2000s

5. Batman:

With Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Etc., the Batman Series has made quite a comeback in the 2000s!

4. Shrek

Shrek, Shrek II, Shrek the Third have changed the way people think about Ogres. They're like onions, and not because they make you cry. They just have layers.

3. Star Wars Episodes I-III

This 1/2 a series has grossed millions of dollars for Lucasfilms, and renewed love of the Star Wars franchise for the current generation. Add that to the amazing special effects and technology available, and you get quite a masterpiece.

2. Harry Potter Series

Starting in 2001 with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint have made quite a name for themselves. They probably never have to work another day of their lives once the series is done. It's been great to see how the trio has grown, and the films increasingly get better (other than the mess that was, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban).

1. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Arguably, the best series of all time. All three of these films should have been included in the top 25 (but, for space sake, they are in this category of Best Series). All three of these films were critically acclaimed, and the last movie in the Series Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is the only film win all Oscars it was nominated for (11 out of 11) and also tied the amazing Ben Hur and Titanic for the most Oscar-acclaimed film of all time. Return of the King is probably in the top 10 films for the decade :)

That's it for this set of nominees. I'll be posting top actors of the decade soon, as well "who to watch out for" .... :)
